Not everything labelled live is live
Offshore lobbies are much looser with the word than British ones, and the first job on any new site is working out which tab you are actually in.
A genuine live table has a human dealer in a studio, real equipment — a physical shoe, a real wheel — and a video feed of the outcome as it happens. The gap between the best and worst bet available in a live lobby is enormous, and almost all of it is inside games players think of as low-edge.
Blackjack played to basic strategy is about as good as a casino game gets. The side bets printed on the same felt, a few centimetres away, are among the worst bets in the building. Game shows are a different product with different maths

The key structural difference is that the return changes depending on which segment you back. The practical things that ruin a live session

Disconnection
If your connection drops after a bet is placed, the bet stands and the round resolves without you. In blackjack the hand is usually played out to a default rule — commonly standing on your current total — which is not necessarily the play you would have made.
